Hi, I am Clara

I work as a project manager. I am a parent. An expatriate currently residing in Zürich, Switzerland.

Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of my life overseas.

How It Started

Moving to Switzerland wasn't in the grand plan. As with many expatriate relocations, it started as a job chance and soon blossomed into something far more significant.

The early months were demanding — unfamiliar frameworks, routines, and expectations. Daily chores seemed more convoluted than expected.

The Adjustment Period

Culture shock, doubt, and hands-on learning dominated at first. Gradually, routines took shape. We found spots that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.

Why I Built Yliso Red Axpiv

Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice grounded in real-life experience in Switzerland.

What This Site Is (And Isn't)

This site is:

  • Hands-on experience from living in Switzerland
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated when something truly changes

This site isn't:

  • An official tourism authority resource
  • A sponsored review site
  • An ordinary travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our time in Switzerland continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep recording what we uncover.

If you have questions about family life in Zürich or anywhere in Switzerland, please reach out.

Best regards,

Clara
